In 2020, The APEX 40 RORT was cancelled for the first time ever due to the outbreak of the Covid 19 Virus Pandemic. The RORT was subsequently postponed to 2021 when it seemed possible to start traveling again. A short time after the RORT, Victoria went into lockdown and several weeks after that NSW went into lockdown.
