The Apex 40 Board thanks you for registering for our 49th RORT and to enjoy the continuing fellowship Apex 40 offers.

The legendary outback city of Broken Hill is rich with history, a vibrant artistic community and cast of colourful characters. Discover amazing galleries, famous sculptures, cool cafes, palatial federation heritage and towering mining landmarks in Australia's first heritage-listed city.

The accommodation for this RORT will be at the Broken Hill Outback Resort which is located about 15km from town. The Resort will be host to some events, including the Registration and Welcome Dinner. Coaches will take us to all other venues included in our program.

Being in the outback, Broken Hill is quite a distance from any major city and you have the choice of flying with Qantas or Rex airlines, driving, hopping on a coach or you can catch the Transport NSW Xplorer train which leaves Sydney early in the morning around 6am and  arrives in Broken Hil at around 7:30pm. This train only runs on Mondays and returns Tuesdays.

For those who do not have transport in Broken Hill, including pickups etc - the board are looking at renting a small bus to assist you in your travel needs to help you with your transfers.
Our world is changing and so are we. Our service and venue providers are requesting up front deposits or in some cases full amounts several months out from a RORT. The committee will usually confirm final numbers on March 1st (or approximately 60 days out) with those providers. At that time, refunds will no longer be possible and we suggest that you transfer your registration to another  member or you take out travel insurance prior to this date.

Other changes this year, we can now accept payment via credit/debit card, however we no longer accept cheques. Direct deposits offer a fee free alternative to avoid paying the 2.25% transaction fee. *Transaction fees are non refundable.
